Backup Critic Storage/Media Deals PageData Recovery Guide: Undeleting FilesYou just accidentally deleted hours, or days (weeks? worse?) of work. Can you "undelete" those files and get them back? The good news is that you just might be able to undelete those files and get your lost data back. The other good news is that data recovery for files lost to a stupid mistake is typically much less expensive than data recovery for files lost to a malfunctioning hard disk. The bad news is that you might not be able to recover those files, and doing the wrong things after you delete the files can lessen your chances of ever getting them back. There are two basic paths to undeleting the files you accidentally deleted. First, if you're lucky, the software you used to delete the files has silently copied them to the Windows "Recycle Bin", where you'll be able to easily find them and get them back. Unfortunately, the Recycle Bin does not always catch all deleted files, and that leads to second, and more difficult option: using a software tool to find and reassemble the lost bits of your files from the hard disk.
