Backup Critic Storage/Media Deals PageHitachi GD-5000 DVD-RAM DriversThe U.S. Hitachi website contains a page that links to a DOS DVD-ROM device driver. The same website also contains a page explaining that their drives are plug-and-play. In theory, that means that you don't need a special Windows device driver; the default DVD-ROM driver should work fine. It's possible that upgrading to Windows XP results in the GD5000 not being properly recognized; read more about this in the GD-5000 problems section.
