Backup Critic Storage/Media Deals PageLF-D310 (Matshita/Panasonic/Vivastar) DVD-RAM DriveThe LF-D310 is a Matsushita (read all about the Matsushita/Matshita name game) drive that supports DVD-RAM in addition to By early 2004, this drive seems to have been discontinued, at least from Panasonic. You may have encountered this drive under different names. Panasonic sold it (of course, Panasonic is owned by Matsushita). It may also have been the drive inside the Panasonic Firewire LF-D340 drive. It appears to have also been sold as a Vivastar RS-111, though Vivastar is no longer in business as far as I can tell. I've seen one report that this was also sold as a SAMSUNG DVD-RAM MR-A02B, but have been unable to find much confirmation for that. To add to the general confusion, does the LF-D311 also claim to be a LF-D310 at the driver level, as reported here and here? Probably. See Also
