Backup Critic Storage/Media Deals PageCleanSweep Catches Recycle Bin GoofsSymantec is now shipping a new version (4.5) of Norton CleanSweep. CleanSweep includes Safety Sweep and "the Norton Safe", which is designed to deal with the problem of accidental file deletion. This offers a little different approach to the goal of "undeleting" your recycle bin boo-boos. Safety Sweep lets you mark critical files to prevent their removal, and backs up other files before deleting them. Any accidentally deleted file can be retrieved from the Safety Sweep archive. "The Safe" lets you specify file types that should not be wiped out of the recycle bin. For example, you can specify that ".doc" files should not be erased when someone "empties" the Recycle Bin.
