SAI Brings UDF WORM Support for Blue LaserSoftware Architects, Inc. (SAI),
a pioneer in UDF (Universal Disk Format) support,
has added support for some Blue Laser formats to one of their products.
Disk Drive TuneUp Pro v4.0 is the new version of SAI's
"drive letter access" utility that makes UDF format
WORM drives accessible from Windows Explorer.
Users can test, repair, and backup files to
re-writable and block addressable WORM discs,
with each file being written to disc when closed.
This version supports Plasmon UDO and Sony PDD drives.
These are early implementations of blue laser-based
optical recording drives.
Disk Drive TuneUp Pro v4.0 costs $99.
