Author Extolls Virtues of Home Server
Writing in the MIT Technology Review section of the online Wall Street Journal,
author Simson Garfinkel writes about the advantages of having a server in
in the home. One of the primary benefits he lists is, of course,
having a separate backup of data in case one of the other home computers
is lost, damaged, stolen, etc.
Amusingly, his server is bolted to the floor, which he figures lowers
the chances it will be stolen in a burglary.
