Undelete Files Utility Updated: WinUndelete 2.1

WinRecovery Software is offering an updated version of their utility to undelete files, called WinUndelete. WinUndelete 2.1 works on both FAT and NTFS filesystems, and runs under Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows 2003.

WinUndelete provides a wizard that steps the user through scanning a disk for deleted files that are still recoverable. It then provides an Explorer-type interface that lets the user select which deleted files WinUndelete should attempt to recover.

To avoid disturbing the filesystem in ways that could prevent recovery, WinUndelete can be run from a floppy disk. It also offers the ability to copy deleted information to an image on a separate drive before attempting recovery.

WinUndelete 2.1 sells for $49.95, and can be purchased at www.winundelete.com.
