Maxell Recommends DriveSaversBusiness Wire is reporting
that Maxell and DriveSavers Data Recovery
have entered a partnership.
While DriveSavers may indeed use Maxell media to return recovered data to customers,
and Maxell may indeed recommend the services of DriveSavers to anyone who inquires,
the value in this deal may be more PR than practical.
It's not clear that a lot of users or companies are asking Maxell
who to turn to for data recovery services,
nor that getting their recovered data back on Maxell discs will
suddenly alter their procurement practices.
But hey, it's a slow news day and Maxell does (usually) make good
discs!
