Pervasive Offers Live SQL Backup
Pervasive Software has shipped Pervasive Backup Agent,
a product for small and mid-sized businesses
that need to regular backups for Pervasive.SQL databases.
As an extension to Pervasive.SQL,
Pervasive Backup Agent can be embedded into applications,
and can be integrated into existing backup processes.
The
company press release for the product
cites a University of Texas study claiming that
of companies that lose data in a disaster,
more than half never reopen, and 90% go out of business
within 2 years.
