CentricStor 3.0 Supports Serial ATA

The new version of the CentricStor virtual tape backup system now supports high capacity Serial ATA (SATA) hard disks. Formerly, the product targeted only high-performance fibre channel disk cache.

Does this mean good old cheap hard disks are eating into the high-dollar storage technologies? I wouldn't bet against the relentless grinding away at price and capacity of the PC hard disk industry.

Finally, if I've spelled the product name as CentricStore anywhere, my apologies. It's CentricStor, not CentricStore. Why vendors love to spell "store" without the "e" is beyond me. Makes their products harder to find from a search engine, and probably leads kids to use bad English, too.
