Imation Website Shows LightScribe Products
LightScribe optical discs have started showing up on
Imation websites,
such as
this description of CD-R LightScribe discs.
However, I can still find no place to buy the discs.
The fact that the new LightScribe information is buried inside the product
section and not mentioned in the newslinks on the home page
may indicate that these are placeholders for when the products
actually start shipping.
Hewlett-Packard's
LightScribe
is a new technology for labelling optical discs.
It requires new drives, special media, and custom software for
controlling the process of burning labels on to the data side of the
specially-coated media.
